“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:5“
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23“
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:31

How can we tell violent fighters they can’t return to Bible Study?  We can’t… but we can place restrictions, and we can pray!  In this City of Darkness, children are suffering Spiritual and physical neglect.  Many go unsupervised, and many don’t have basic needs met.  They are enraged.  They lash out.  The love of Jesus Christ can comfort their broken hearts.  God’s inerrant Word is powerful and heals rage, anger, and hate.  The fighters are begging to return to Bible Study.  They must return.  Tomorrow we will visit them and their Moms.  Truth overcomes lies.  Light overcomes darkness.  Forgiveness is the way to healing.

“And be ye kind, one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even asGod for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you,” Ephesians 4:32

Bible Studies and Dinners
LAMB Ministries continues our weekly Bible Studies, home cooked dinners, and other outreaches.  On Monday nights we meet together with 15 to 20 adults from the New Orleans business, professional, retirement communities.  And, on Wednesday nights we use our two ministry vans to pick up 20 to 30 inner city youth and some of their families, bring them all to our ministry center home (where both groups meet weekly) for Bible study and dinner, and then we return them to their own homes.  The purpose of these evenings is to explain the clear Gospel of God’s wonderful GRACE (God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense), leading people to faith alone in Christ alone for eternal life and then to disciple them in God’s inerrant Word.  Lives are transformed!  Hy is also Chaplain for about ten men’s groups and has 5 weekly radio talk shows where he preaches the clear Gospel.

Mardi Gras Holiday
High School Marching Bands are a big part of our New Orleans culture.  Many LAMB Kids participate especially during Mardi Gras.  LAMB Bible study teachers and other kids love to join in their fun, and rejoice to see their talent, to meet their families, and school Teachers.  And, as the Scripture says, “… woe unto me if I preach not the Gospel… be a Jew to the Jew, a Greek to the Greek, the weak to the weak, all things to all men, that by all means I might save some!” (I Cor 9:16-22)   Because of this, we at LAMB go marching into the thick of the Mardi Gras madness with the express hope and effort to save some.  Some flee from the sound of battle, but we at LAMB Ministries go charging toward the sound of the battle!!  Guess what?  Every year it works!  Praise God!  Chaplain Hy has been doing this for over 40 years in different venues and with different tactics from street preaching to Mardi Gras Ball preaching, and it has always born fruit.  Hallelujah!  And, all God’s people say “Amen”!

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal lifethrough Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

The Lord led several very generous families to donate two great vans for the use of the ministry.  In only 6 months, probably thirty people have been led to Christ through these vans!!  Also, three adults in the Wednesday Bible study have stepped forward as Teachers!  They are doing GREAT!

We are asking the Lord to send volunteers, and financial support, so that we can reach more people for Christ through Bible studies, outreaches, the radio shows, and ministry.  We need advertisers to help pay for the radio shows! (

Thanks for all of your all of your help over the years, and know that we will remain steadfast in the fight till the END!  We will occupy till He comes!!

Shalom and God bless,
Chaplain Hy and Libba McEnery
